Hugh Jackman and his family are in mourning, following the passing of their cherished French Bulldog, Dali, who died just a few weeks before his 12th birthday.
Dali lived to a ripe old age by French Bulldog standards, had a really nice life, and was adored by everyone, Jackman said on Instagram adding, “It’s a very sad day for our family.”
Definitely a small dog with a huge personality, Dali seems to have been. He was known as Rockstar, according to Jackman, since he very much followed his own path.
“We’ll miss him, but I know he’s shouting in paradise, ruling the roost and savoring the infinite buffet,” he said.
Although losing a beloved pet is never easy, Dali clearly appeared to be in wonderful health up to the very end.
Although Dali was still up and about for a trip on the beach just six weeks ago, French Bulldogs are prone to their own particular health difficulties.

His devotion to both Dali and his other dog, Allegra, a Poodle Terrier mix.
