Famous Hollywood star Sylvester Stallone shared an Instagram video of his new four-legged companion.
Stallone is well-known for his portrayal of an all-action hero. But the Hollywood actor, who once owned a beautiful Bullmastiff named Butkus, is now gaining attention after bringing home a new enormous Rottweiler puppy.
German vs American Rottweiler: How Are They Different?
The Rottie, named Dwight after his character in the upcoming American crime drama series Tulsa King(opens in new tab), has already become a celebrity, and he may be on his way to following in the footsteps of Butkus, who appeared in Rocky and Rocky II.
After all, Dwight has adapted well to television, with the 76-year-old actor posting a video of them both on Instagram. He inquires about the best ways to bathe his new puppy while massaging his face and patting him.
Stallone wonders if Dwight is excellent at meeting new people, and the pair appear very comfortable in one other’s presence. Stallone continued, “So unbelievably thrilled with my newly acquired four-legged pal, Dwight, my character’s name from the series.” “Continue pounding and barking.” Stallone also expressed gratitude to Dwight’s trainer and breeder, Dave Smith, and “his gorgeous wife.”
Do Rottweilers Shed: What to Do About It?
Stallone appears to be happy and comfortable, demonstrating a bond comparable to that established with Butkus all those years ago. The actor adopted the 140-pound bullmastiff when he was just six weeks old, but financial issues forced him to sell him, a situation he intended to remedy.
Indeed, after Stallone sold his Rocky script, he bought Butkus back, allowing the dog to star in the next two Rocky films, including in the classic training montage.

Butkus died of a heart attack in 1981, but he was so well remembered that he was still on Stallone’s computer desktop background in 2015.
