15-year-old Jaelee Scott will be left with scars on her legs and arms after the XL American Bully dog’s vicious attack at a friend’s house in Dundee back in June.
After the dog mauled her all over her body and tore pieces out of her legs and arms, the teenage girl was left with nightmares and a fear of going outside.
The lady will appear in court after Jaelee Scott, 15, was mauled at a friend’s house where the XL bully was being cared for while its owner was away.
Back in June, the dog allegedly bit her in the leg and dug its claws into her arm and thigh.
According to reports, the dog’s jaws had to be prayed open by a buddy because it would not let go of the terrified teenager.
According to the Daily Record, Jaelee needed three hours of surgery to remove two blood clots and clean out her wounds.
The extensive gouges in the schoolgirl’s skin received during the alleged attack in Dundee, Scotland, will leave her with massive scars.
A 34-year-old woman has been charged in connection with the alleged incident, according to police.
Staceylee Jackson, 33, claims her daughter felt she was going to die and has been having nightmares as a result of her ordeal.
“The dog tried to overwhelm her; it was extremely powerful,” she explained.
Jaelee pushed the dog down, and it ran over and bit her, causing her to scream.
“She screamed for the dog to get off of her, and my friend had to force the Dog’s Jaws open.” She had wounds from the paw piercing into her and the teeth.”
“Jaelee hasn’t been the same since it happened – she says she’s never been so afraid in her entire life and thought she was going to die,” she continued.
I have no idea why it attacked. But it must be recorded.
“Jaelee has been housebound for five weeks and confined to her bedroom for two weeks prior. Because of her injuries, it takes her 10 minutes to down the stairs. It’s quite difficult for her.
“She had a thriving social life. She is now afraid to go outside and is self-conscious about her wounds.” She wakes up afraid at night, believing the dog had entered her room.”
Staceylee wants the dog taken away from its owners and the Breed XL Bullies, also known as American Bullies, added to Scotland’s list of prohibited pets.
The attack comes months after Adam Watts, 55, of Dundee, was mauled to Death by a “Bulldog-style” pup in December 2021, and other tragic instances involving XL Bullies in England.
“These dogs are dangerous as hell,” Staceylee remarked, “and people are buying them to make a message on social media.” They’re not family Dogs, and Jaelee wouldn’t have stood a chance if she’d been any younger.
“The longer that Dog is out there, the more it bothers us. We can’t move on unless it’s written down.” My daughter has yet to be seen by the owners.”
“A 34-year-old lady was detained and prosecuted under the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991 after a 15-year-old girl was critically injured when she was bitten by an XL Bully type Dog at a house in Rosemount Road, Dundee, on Monday, 13 June 2022,” a Police Scotland spokesperson said.
The young lady was transported to Ninewells Hospital for treatment. The woman, 34, has been reported to the Procurator Fiscal.”
“The council is aware that police have been dealing with an incident and it would not be acceptable to comment further while legal processes are continuing,” a spokesman for Dundee City Council said.
