Council investigators are looking into the incidents after a dog jumped at a baby and a beloved cat was mauled in a Perth neighborhood.
On Monday, Nicole Filar was walking through Doubleview with her 8-month-old son Leo strapped to her chest when she was approached by a bull mastiff and a Staffordshire terrier.
Prior to Kiki, Filar’s labradoodle, being attacked by the other dog, one dog can be seen repeatedly leaping up at Leo’s face in the CCTV footage of the incident.
They began to circle us, Filar told 9News, “and then one of the dogs sprang up to my son, who was in the carrier tied to me, and the other dog pinned my dog to the ground.”

I screamed for assistance and broke down in tears since I was unable to save either of them.
Bystanders on Beatrice Street interfered as the situation stretched on, attempting to save Kiki by kicking at the other dogs.
“You definitely want to safeguard your child. But having to be in that situation with the two of them was simply awful, “explained Filar.
Leo’s face only received a few scratches, she added, but he was contemplating how much worse it could have been.
In the City of Stirling, dog assaults can result in fines of up to $10,000 (twice that amount for a dangerous dog) or $3,500 if no physical harm is done.

Gloria Fryer, the owner, expressed astonishment and regret over the assault.
She said that because she was unable to walk the dogs, they “had not been trained correctly.”
Council members of the City of Sterling are examining the CCTV.
